Yo Yo

Hey hey.....
Sorry for taking so long to update you all from the Florida Relays, but things are going well, training is good and I am excited for the rest of the season. What have you all been up to these days? Have you been following the track meets out there or enjoying the weather as it turns for warmer days? I have been busy practicing daily and also helping out at University of Cincinnati with their track and field team. I love surrounding myself around these athletes because they are enjoyable, happy and remind me of when I was in college. I hope that with my presence they are able to see what it takes to be a World Class athlete, the integrity, the determination, the focus, the rewards, the lows and highs and most of the fact that I enjoy it and have fun.
So you want to know how the Florida Relays went down...in Gainesville, FL it was my second 400 of the outdoor season and I had been getting some work done on my IT Band but I am all good now. I also want to let it be known that it was my FIRST time ever in Gainesville.....and it was an enjoyable meet. I was able to run 51.85 and place 3rd...my time is slowly dropping and I am making progress towards my 50 or lower. I was happier with this race than the last meet because I was more aggressive in the beginning of the race. This is key when running the 400 and I was satisfied with my finish but of course knew ways to perfect it. I ended the trip the following day running on the Speed Divas 4x400 relay where I ran first leg to Shana, to Shalonda to Natasha. We won but man we didn't have anyone to race with......so all in all it was a productive week.

I am now gearing up for the Hoosier Hill meet in Bloomington, IN this weekend and then off to Drake Relays and then Japan. So stay tuned and I hope to be able to post some good performances!! To end I would like to give a shout out to Aricka Rhodes aka AK on running a PR in the women's 400 at the Miami, OH Invitational this past Saturday. This girl did her thang and finally broke 55 and I really believe that she can get even faster while running at UC.

So for the Gold Runner of the week , it goes to AK....get it girl, you went and got you one!!!
Thanks for checking me out and stay tuned to video blog post ......
